Looksorn (b.1992, Thailand) is a documentary photographer/filmmaker currently working and living in Thailand. She holds a BFA in Photography from George Mason University (2016) and an MFA in Photography and Media from California Institute of the Arts (2019)

Looksorn utilizes media to observe her parents ice business in Thailand that has been in business for nearly 40 years. The ice factory was built in 2010 and is one hour outside of Bangkok. She grew up surrounded by immigrant labor and witnessed the increasing presence of bribe culture, where her parents' only recourse involves paying the local police off the record to prevent worker detainment. Looksorn uses photography to explore the realities of her parents business as well as examine her relationship with her parents and the immigrant labor force. Through the process of ice making, she observes the labor politics and her privilege as the daughter of the owner and as an artist.
